Once a check has been sent, it cannot be edited or amended. If any details are incorrect, you will need to send a new check with the corrected information.
Please make sure you review the individual’s details carefully before sending, especially their name and date of birth, as incorrect information can cause the identity check to fail and checks are non-refundable.
What happens to the original check?
The original check cannot be cancelled once sent. Credas will continue to send reminder emails to the recipient if the check remains incomplete, typically after 2, 5 and 10 days .
Please advise your client to ignore these reminders if a replacement check has been issued.
In summary, If you notice an error after sending a check:
- Send a new check with the correct details.
- Tell the client to complete only the most recent check.
- Ask the client to ignore any reminder emails relating to the original check.
