1. From the Overview page, accessible via selecting the BrightChecks logo at the top of the page, there is a button on the right-hand side of the screen to Create checks.
2. The Check type can then be selected. These options are:
ID Basic
ID Enhanced
The Credit balance is also displayed at this step. Checks can be purchased using your credits. If you need to top up your credits at this stage just click "Buy more". Once done, you may have to click the "Refresh" button for your balance to update on screen before you can continue.
3. From the following screen, the details of the individual can then be recorded. Please ensure that the name matches the way in which it will appear on the identification of the individual.
If the Enhanced check was selected, the date of birth and address details are also mandatory at this step.
Information being incorrectly entered could lead to the failure of a check meaning you will need to start the process again and pay for a new check.
Important: We recommend advising your clients in advance to anticipate an email from no-reply@credas.com to avoid it being considered junk mail.
4. A Review and submit screen then appears. This will show the details entered, the cost of the check in credits and remaining credit balance.
There is a tick box to confirm that the purchase is non-refundable.
5. Clicking Send ID Verification will trigger an email to the recipient from Credas (this email cannot be customised). It will mention your firm is requesting the information for the essential identity checks.

Note - The same individual cannot be sent two different ID checks. If one exists already then another cannot be created. The existing one should be completed and if it has failed and you require the individual to complete a new check then delete the previous one first. |
6. The email sent to the individual will contain a link to complete the check, directing them to complete the process.
7. The Overview page will then show the check, including the initial status of Pending while awaiting the individual to complete the check.
Note: Chaser emails are sent by Credas if the check remains incomplete at 2, 5 & 10 days from being sent.
8. Completion of the check by the individual will update the check status. An email will also be sent as notification that it has been completed.
