How to sign up for BrightChecks, buy credits, and understand the pricing for all check types.
Credits calculator
To make credit planning easier, BrightHub includes a Credits Calculator on the credit purchase page. The calculator helps you understand exactly how many credits you will need before buying.
With the Credits Calculator you can enter the number of checks you plan to run for each check type and instantly see the total credits required. The calculator covers all three check types:
▪ ID Basic — 4 credits per check
▪ ID Enhanced — 5 credits per check
▪ Company Check — 12 credits per check
How to sign up and purchase credits
1. Go to hub.brightsg.com
2. Log in with your BrightID, or create one using the "Sign up" option if you do not have one yet. New users will be asked to enter their name, email, business name, location, and create a password.
3. Once logged in to BrightHub, go to the Products tab on the left of the screen and select "Get Started" under BrightChecks.
4. Review and agree to the terms and conditions, then click Get Started.
5. Purchase your credits — use the slider or enter the number of credits you need. You can always top up at any time. A payment method is required to complete sign-up.
No subscription cost: BrightChecks is free to sign up. You are only ever charged for the credits you purchase — there is no recurring subscription fee.
Credit costs by check type
All checks draw from the same BrightHub credit wallet. The number of credits used per check is fixed regardless of bundle size — what changes with larger bundles is the cost per credit, and therefore the effective cost per check.
| Check type | Credits used | Cost (1 check) | Cost (100 checks) | Cost (1,000 checks) |
| ID Basic | 4 credits | £4.00 | £2.79 | £2.50 |
| ID Enhanced | 5 credits | £5.00 | £3.42 | £3.10 |
| Company Check | 12 credits | £12.00 | £8.37 | £7.50 |
All prices are VAT exclusive. The costs shown above are indicative — actual cost per check depends on the bundle size purchased. See the full tiered pricing table below.
Volume pricing — the more credits you buy, the lower the cost
As the credit bundle size increases, the cost per credit decreases. This pricing model gives you flexibility — buy small bundles for occasional checks, or save money with larger bundles if you run checks regularly.
| Number of checks | Cost per ID Basic | Cost per ID Enhanced | Equivalent cost per credit |
| 1 | £4.00 | £5.00 | £1.00 |
| 2 | £4.00 | £5.00 | £1.00 |
| 5 | £3.97 | £4.82 | £0.99 |
| 10 | £3.68 | £4.43 | £0.92 |
| 25 | £3.27 | £3.96 | £0.82 |
| 50 | £3.01 | £3.65 | £0.75 |
| 100 | £2.79 | £3.42 | £0.70 |
| 250 | £2.63 | £3.25 | £0.66 |
| 500 | £2.55 | £3.16 | £0.64 |
| 1,000 | £2.50 | £3.10 | £0.63 |
All prices above are VAT exclusive and reflect the cost per ID Basic and ID Enhanced check. The same tiered credit pricing applies to Company Check — to calculate the effective cost, multiply the cost per credit at your bundle tier by 12.
Example: At the 100-check bundle tier (£0.70 per credit), a Company Check costs 12 × £0.70 = £8.40.
